Lillie Jordan Memorial Seat

This is a seat in memory of a Burghead Primary School Teacher. It has views of the bay west towards Findhord, the seat itself is about 400 yds from her home, the old bank house. Lillie Jordan was an infant teacher until mid 80's? I remember her as an astute lady who was always keen to know how her former pupils were doing. I was surprised to see this seat but thought that it was a fitting tribute to a woman who helped generations of the villages children see new horizons. Posted by Picasa

Vigilant UL 55

I chose to Blog this because this is a boat that I remember from years ago. It was built in the 50's and I think was an original 'ring net' boat used for catching herring. Since then it has had a successful career with its Lossie skipper for as long as I can remember. Posted by Picasa

Burnt toast

Seconds after I threw this burn toast out it became a meal. One man's waste is another squirrel's breakfast! Posted by Picasa

Rescue

This was the official RNLI Christmas Card in 2003. The sense of rage in the sea coupled with the effort of the crew and the plight of the ship combine to make a powerful image of rescue. Posted by Picasa
